As a yogi, I spend a good deal of time thinking of the universe as one interconnected entity, but run into those typical downer thoughts,

“Why does evil exist then? Why do certain parts of the universe want to hurt other parts? Why do humans fight and strive? Are the concepts of good, evil, pain, pleasure even relevant on a universal scale?”

If I had concrete answers to these questions I would be a philosopher instead of a musician. This song, Giving Thanks is my attempt to reconcile some of the difficult events of the past year and let go of the evaluation of them and just give thanks for all of it. It’s one of those songs, where I can hear people adding their own verses and singing together as we struggle forward.
